In April 2013, Ohio State dance majors Bekah Edie and Maddie Irmen came together with an idea. They wanted to create a dance film on Wassaw Island, a sea island located off the Atlantic Coast that Edie frequented as a child. Filming on Wassaw would enable them to create art in a beautiful location and then share it with a larger audience. The film explores their artistic interest in the intersection of choreography, environment and film.

Edie and Irmen invited three of their OSU colleagues to join them. Ellen Maynard became co-director, cinematographer and editor, and AJ Blankenship and Quentin Burley joined as fellow dancers and choreography collaborators.

Two days after graduating, the five departed for Savannah, Georgia to begin their journey. This website provides a glimpse into the process and people that helped this project come together.
